Mind Body Kinect Melbourne
About Me
For many years I worked in the corporate world as a business owner, an accountant and man other hats; in banking, advertising and publishing. When a personal difficulty forced me to make some hard decisions, I realised I wanted to be of service to others. To help others in some way. My journey began with remedial massage and then in an effort to help my clients get better health outcomes, I started to learn about scar tissue. First getting treatments for my own scars, then becoming an accredited practitioner and now an international instructor.
I was drawn to McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release® initally because it had clinical evidence that it worked. As I learned more about MSTR® I realised that not only does it work on scar tissue but it can also effect changes in the whole body resulting in permanent changes and improvements in the way my clients move, feel and live.
Qigong is an ancient practice of movement and mindfulness steeped in Chinese traditional medicine, wisdom and knowledge. I wish I could recall how I came across this practice but I can't - just another rabbit hole I ended up in that has changed my life! I use Qigong as a moving meditaion practice - I cannot sit comfortably for a seated meditation practice and so I find a moving meditation practice is better for my body and my mind. I find grace in the practice, stillness in the breathing and a connection to something bigger than myself. I completed my Level 1 200 hours training in Bali in 2023 and commenced my Level 2 300 hrs training in 2025. For more information about Qigong click here
As an MSTR® International Instructor and practicing scar-tissue specialist based in Melbourne, I’m dedicated to advancing the way practitioners and clients understand the true impact of scar tissue. My work focuses on raising awareness, improving clinical outcomes, and building practitioner confidence in recognising and treating scar tissue effectively.
My purpose is to work alongside practitioners and clients, reshaping the way we understand scar tissue and its influence on movement, recovery, mental health and whole-body wellness.
With extensive hands-on experience and a passion for education, I’ve become an advocate for evidence-informed scar-tissue care in Australia. Through teaching, workshops, presentations and clinical practice, I highlight how scar tissue is far more than a surface-level change — it can influence biomechanics, posture, emotional patterns, neurological function and long-term recovery.
I support:
Practitioners integrating MSTR® into their treatment framework
Clinics and multidisciplinary teams seeking better outcomes for patients with surgical or traumatic scars
Clients wanting to reduce discomfort, restore mobility and understand how their scars may be affecting them
My mission is to cultivate a strong and informed MSTR® community across Australia, elevate the national conversation around scar-tissue impact, and ensure more people receive care that acknowledges the full influence scars can have on the body.
